i got pretty lucky in the mission department. not only did i serve in the best area, but i also was blessed enough to have two mission presidents. both were incredible and changed my life and both had wives who were two of the most humble kind people i had ever met.
the mcdonough's changed the mission when they came in. not in a good or bad way, but a different way. they were called for the mission at that specific time. i only had three transfers with them, but they changed my life tremendously in those 3 and a half short months.
and nearly three years later...they are home! it was the most incredible thing to witness their homecoming. the church service for them was so uplifting and loving and you knew they truly loved those three years and helped others love their time as well. i barely knew any of the missionaries there, but it was still fun to see the couple that i did. they called up all the missionaries to sing called to serve and what a memorable experience to be on the stand with 150 other people who knew exactly what the MJM was all about.
