and he's off....

david's brother spencer left on his mission yesterday. he will be serving in the chesapeake virginia mission, and we could not be more proud of him. spencer really is going to make the best missionary. at the age of 18 he is already so mature and "in tune". he has a strong testimony and is going to be great.

dropping him off was of course bittersweet and only brought on memories of my own time there 4 years ago. all the memories of my own experience came rushing back and it only made me so excited for him. we will miss him but knowing exactly what he will be doing and going through only makes it easier to let him go. he is going to change lives and i can't wait to hear about it.
