#gronoswedding

ten years ago on a halloween night, my childhood best friend kristin and i went to a church dance in a town (rock springs) 15 minutes away (from green river). we didn't really want to go, but there was supposedly going to be a lot of youth and when you are boy crazy obsessed 16 year old, the prospect of meeting new boys is great. we met up with another friend who lived in that town and asked her to introduce us to people... that is how we met bren, who brought nick with him. from then on, we hung out every weekend. eventually adding on others to our group of friends. we made these really awesome embarrassing movies (think: a remake of the grudge), went to a million movies, played in the cemetery and became the best of friends. most of us went on to work at the movie theatre and then eventually went on our own ways to be adults.

While most sort of fell away, there are a few of us that still remain close. fast forward ten years, a few marriages, a mission, a few college degrees, plenty of moves, 4 states and many many phone calls and texts between us all...we were finally able to be in the same place at the same time to celebrate nick's wedding. it was beautiful, peyton was gorgeous, and being able to reminisce and catch up with the boys who changed my life was one of the most precious memories i have of them. seeing nick watch peyton walk down the isle with pure love in his eyes was one of the happiest times for me as well. there is nothing like seeing the people you love so happy and celebrating that union together. nick and peyton, i wish you a lifetime of happiness
