I woke up early and started getting ready and Meghan sort of talked to me and helped but most my family was already up getting ready themselves. We had to be to the temple by 9:15 I believe and we were late. My mom's dress ended up not working out and so I was a little mad that she had to wear the shirt I didn't want her to. I think about it now though and none of that little stuff mattered at all.
I was beyond nervous. I am not sure why, but I just kept freaking out like crazy inside. I saw David and the nerves got even stronger. However, after getting dressed and ready for the sealing it got better and after waiting with David for the ceremony to start I knew how wonderful life was going to be.
Being in the sealing room with all of our loved ones was one of the best moments of my life. The love in that room was so thick. I am not a crier and I made it through almost the whole thing without shedding a tear, until it was time to hug everyone and I couldn't help it because I was so grateful for everyone. Our mission president and his wife were even there.
As we were getting ready to exit the temple I could see everyone waiting outside and we were about ready to come outside and my nephew ended up falling and hitting his head on the stairs so we had to wait again for him.
Seeing everyone outside the temple was just as wonderful. There were soo many people there that I had never even expected which made it even more special. Living in Utah and being from Wyoming, I didn't expect anyone from Green River to be there, but so many amazing people came. I was overwhelmed the whole day from all the love and support.
We took a pictures with everyone and then had a luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. David's family was so generous and wonderful and made the luncheon perfect. His sister Bethanie also made a slide show for us and we absolutely loved it. It was fun to hear from my sister and from David's best friend. I remember looking out into the room and just being so grateful that they were in my life.
After our luncheon we headed up to the reception to put the last touches together. The reception post is coming soon.
