christmas 2015

christmas this year sure was fun. christmas eve we made gingerbread houses with my family, went to a family christmas party with david's side, and back to my parents. the christmas party with david's family is always so fun. there is a talent show, the nativity is acted out, and there is a white elephant. always a fun time with david's family.

christmas day we woke up, opened presents and headed over to david's parents to hang out with them. we got to skype his brother who is on a mission in virginia. it was so fun to see him.

december!

i wish i could post a thousand posts of all the fun festivities that december bring, but because i am constantly behind on this blog..i simply will highlight the month.

david and i are lucky enough to live right own town and visited the light multiple times throughout the month. it is one of the most incredible sights year after year.

one of our other favorite activities are the fun windows at the grand america.

meghan, caitlin and i met one of our favorite bloggers one day at the mall.
david started out christmas break with prk eye surgery. it made for a fun few days
family was around quite often and seeing this cute girl so much sure made life great.

football season

football season was bittersweet. i was so involved this year and it was so much fun. yesterday was the last game (rivalry week vs colorado) and it was hard not to be so sad that it was my last game ever in the muss as a student. i have loved my time being in the greatest student section in the country.

i got to run the flag for the muss on the field. it was a little embarrassing but what a great experience. heat, sleet, snow, rain, wind and everything in between, i have been in those stand supporting the greatest team in the country. thank you utah athletics for the best year of my life.

get up 4 game day

sometimes, really cool things happen in my life and i could not be more grateful. game day came to utah and it was so much fun to be apart of it. it has been such a fun football season so far, and i love my utes more than ever.

i had friends who camped out for game day 2 nights in advanced. that is three days of sitting outside waiting for this epic event. i was somehow chosen to compete in the cheez it fan of the week competition. it was pretty lame, but i did get to meet sam ponder and was on national television.

after that ordeal, i got to watch game day backstage in their vip area. it was awesome being able to see them from the front and afterward we got to meet them. what a fantastic morning.

the funniest story of the day was when john stockton was there as the celebrity of the week and he walked by us. he was sort of just standing there and i wanted a picture. i had no idea he usually didn't take pictures with people or autograph things either but i just sort of yelled to him "hey, john" (because apparently i am on a first name basis with him, and he looked over and i asked to take a picture with him. it was pretty hilarious.

halloween

halloween is one of my most favorite holidays ever. i would dress up all the time if i could. there was even a halloween from my days back in provo where i dressed up in three different costume..in one day. david and i love disney and want to coordinate disney costumes every year. this year has to have been my favorite year ever though. meet russell and kevin, from up. isn't my husband the most adorable thing ever?!
it wouldn't be halloween without a few haunted houses in there as well. the haunted forest is my absolute favorite here in utah. and of course, i am destined to be a holiday home decorator and usually do my sister's house and mine.

i am pretty good at chalkboard signs if i do say so myself. it has become my specialty:)

one year

i sure love celebrating anything and everything under the sun. if there is a holiday, i am probably celebrating it. i love celebrating the little things in life among the big things. however, one of the biggest celebrations i was looking forward to was our anniversary.

some don't think of it as a big deal, and until you are actually married it really doesn't matter, but why not celebrate the one day that changed your life forever.

we chose to get married in october, which will luckily always be around fall break. bad news about this day, there is always something going on. this year was no exception. college game day was in utah, there was a football game, my aunt got married. busy busy busy.

we already went to disneyland as our "big" celebration, but we wanted to celebrate the actual day as well. friday night we went to ruth's chris steakhouse, which was highly disappointing. i know some love it, but when i am paying quite a bit for a piece of chicken it should not be over cooked. the service was fantastic though so all was well. after we started on one of the disney puzzles we brought back from our trip (a week later and it still is not done).

sometimes i cannot even handle how adorable my nephews are

the next day i went to game day and after we went to my aunt's wedding in brigham city and went to the temple. what an incredible way to spend an anniversary than in the temple with your spouse. we loved it.

we rushed back to salt lake (stopped along the way to pick up our cake) and made our way to the tailgate. i had to volunteer because of the muss, but i love the atmosphere on campus during game day.

the big game was fantastic and probably some of the most intense moments of my life, but utah pulled off another sweet victory and we could not have been more happy. we love our utes.

i loved celebrating my favorite team with my favorite boy, and i am so glad we got to experience it on our anniversary.
