epic east coast road trip part 1-day five

our day in philadelphia was pretty relaxing. meg and i had been there countless times, and david really just wanted to see the historical sites. we have watched this temple being built from pretty much the start. it is incredible how far they have gotten since we last saw it a little over a year ago.

epic east coast road trip part 1-day three and four

day three we went to church with dave and erica and explored mt. vernon a little bit. the colors were gorgeous but the weather was windy and cold. we also explored arlington national cemetary and watched the changing of the guard. it is always humbling to be in a place where there are so many stories.

epic east coast road trip part 1-day two

day two was all about the museums. i wanted to see the holocaust museum, meghan and david- the air and space museum, and we all wanted to see the museum of american history. how can you pass up a chance to see those ruby red slippers?

it was raining that day and meghan was the only one smart enough to bring an umbrella but we did not let that dampen our spirits. we planned to head to the holocaust museum to get tickets for later that day and on the way to the museum, we just so happened to pass by the washington monument and sent david to see if he could get tickets to go up. i was doubtful they had any, but we lucked out and scored them for the perfect time.

epic east coast road trip part 1-day 1

david and i have a goal to visit every state in the united states together. we have seen most separate, but now we want experience them all with each other. i call this our epic east coast road trip part 1 because when i graduate we plan to hit up new york and the north eastern united states. we are lucky because david has such a large family and they are located all over the states and it just so happens that he has cousins in washington d.c. who graciously allowed us to come visit. d.c. is david's favorite place ever and one of my most favorites and this turned out to be the perfect time to make the journey before his cousin's move this summer. it also helps that my dad lives in philadelphia part-time so we had a place to stay there as well.

Little Moments-February

february was a pretty exciting month. i can't believe it is the end of march already. february could be described as the month of the utes for me. i made the muss board, i went to countless games and events and it was awesome.
 fun dinner date with friends
we have been features in many utah videos and articles with this sign
taylor swift's "shake it off" tutu at ballet west

super blurry but i took my mom to swan lake and it was so worth it to just see the joy this show brought her.
to promote the standord game we bounced a ball from noon until tip off
our mascot > than your mascot

i have always wanted one of these;)
 yet another gymnastics meet

march=the best month ever

march madeness (i fill out 6 brackets) and utah gymnastics. what could be better.

gymnastics is a pretty big deal here in utah. the red rocks are not only one of the best gymnastics teams in the country, they are also have the highest attendance, highest gpa, and best fans in the country. i am a total fan girl when it comes utah.

last night we were able to attend the pac-12 gymnastics tournament. it was incredible. the utes were amazing. plus they showed the utah georgetown game on the big screen so that was pretty awesome. there is nothing like being in the huntsman center though when a gymnast nails her routine and that perfect ten shows up. the utes were on fire and it was devastating when tori wilson injured herself. it was an incredible opportunity to witness history and the only team that is bringing home championships to this school.

our beloved sign was hanging on by a thread. finally time to retire this one.

it's fun to be a kid

the americana lego tour came through salt lake. i am not a huge lego fan, but i am a fan of awesome exhibits. this was one of them. there were the nation's most historic buildings in lego form. most of them took over 300 hours to build. it was incredible. i will let the pictures do the talking.
